Product Information, Authenticity, Hallmarking, Safety and Care Policy

Effective Date: 31 August 2026

925 sterling-silver jewellery sold in India

SKU-level information standard

The selected product page, variant selector, cart and invoice together describe the purchased article. For every
SKU, SILVME must state the material and verified fineness, plated or surface-treated finish, stone type where
known, colour, dimensions, size/length, approximate gross or net weight as identified, included components,
country of origin, hallmark status, care and material safety warnings relevant to purchase.

A collection name or generic banner is not enough. If component composition, coating, stone, hallmark or
weight differs by variant, the variant-level description must change before payment.

SILVME must not publish 'certified', 'BIS hallmarked', 'HUID', 'nickel-free', 'lead-free', 'hypoallergenic',
'anti-tarnish', 'waterproof', 'skin-safe', 'solid gold', 'vermeil', therapeutic, sustainability or similar claims without
current SKU-specific evidence and accurate qualifications

2.925 silver and BIS statements

All SILVME products covered by this India policy originate in India. Where a product is described as '925 sterling
silver', SILVME represents a fineness of 925 parts per thousand and must retain objective supplier, batch and
SKU records supporting that public claim.

Most products bear a '925' stamp, but some do not. A '925' stamp is a maker's fineness mark and must not be
described as a BIS hallmark, HUID or government certification unless the particular article satisfies the
applicable BIS hallmarking scheme and bears all required marks.

SILVME states that it holds an active BIS jeweller registration. Its public registration number must be inserted
where required: HM/C-8290505421. Registration of the jeweller does not
establish that every article is hallmarked.

For each article represented as hallmarked, SILVME must retain the purchase/hallmark documents and
traceability and put all required particulars on the invoice. Customer information about verification and
compensation must match the BIS rules then in force.

3.Evidence and traceability

Before sale, create a SKU evidence file containing supplier identity and invoice, product/batch identifier, metal
and component specification, assay/XRF/laboratory or hallmark record as appropriate, photographs of marks,
weight and dimensions, plating specification, stone description, country-of-origin basis, safety information,
listing version and approval date.

SILVME will not describe an article as independently tested, laboratory verified or certified unless it holds
current supporting records. Incoming inspection, risk-based sample testing and documented supplier
acceptance should be maintained.

Traceability records should connect the goods received, SKU/batch, order, invoice, dispatch and any complaint,
repair, replacement or recall. Records must be protected from alteration and kept for the applicable legal and
claim period.

4.Plating, stones, measurements and variation

For plated, rhodium-finished, oxidised or otherwise treated jewellery, disclose the sterling-silver base and the
actual treatment. Colour and plating can wear with friction, moisture, sweat, cosmetics and chemicals; never
imply permanence without substantiation.

State whether a material stone is natural, laboratory-grown, imitation/simulated, composite or treated when
relevant and known. Do not use a protected or recognised gemstone name for a different material.

Identify whether a weight is approximate gross weight or net precious-metal weight and apply a documented
reasonable tolerance. Give dimensions in a consistent unit. Natural-stone and hand-finishing variation must be
disclosed but cannot justify a different material, missing feature or material departure from the sample.

5.Safety and suitability

  • Keep jewellery and detachable parts away from babies and young children because of choking, swallowing
    and strangulation risks.

  • Remove jewellery before sleep, bathing, swimming, sport, heavy work, machinery or any activity involving
    snagging, crushing or impact.

  • Stop using an article with a sharp edge, loose stone, open clasp, weakened chain or other damage. Preserve
it and contact SILVME if it may be unsafe.

  • Individual skin reactions vary. Discontinue wear if irritation occurs and seek appropriate medical advice.
    SILVME makes no medical claim.

A product-specific warning prevails. SILVME must monitor applicable safety standards, prohibited substances,
recalls and incident-reporting duties and must not sell a prohibited or recalled product.

6.Care

Store pieces separately in a clean, dry container. Reduce exposure to humidity, sweat, perfume, cosmetics,
sanitiser, chlorine, sulphur, household chemicals and abrasives. Put jewellery on after cosmetics are dry and
wipe gently after wear.

Use only a cleaning method suitable for the verified plating and stone. A soft dry non-abrasive cloth may suit
many pieces; plated, oxidised, porous-stone or pearl items may require different care. Do not use an ultrasonic
or chemical cleaner unless the SKU instruction permits it.

Sterling silver can naturally tarnish through surface reaction. Tarnish alone does not prove that an article is not
sterling silver. SILVME does not promise lifetime polishing, cleaning or tightening.

6.Authenticity, incident and recall process

Report a purity, authenticity, misdescription, injury or safety concern to help@silvme.com. Include the
order/SKU and available evidence. Stop use if continued wear could cause harm.

SILVME will isolate affected stock, preserve the listing and supply records, assess the complaint through a
competent assay/expert when appropriate, identify related batches and determine whether customer notice,
regulator reporting, withdrawal or recall is required.

A safety or authenticity remedy is not conditioned on voluntary warranty registration. SILVME bears recall and
statutory remedy costs as required by law.
